Following Ireland’s inaugural Woodland Show last year in the very beautiful JFK Arboretum, Co. Wexford, this year, this year’s show was in the magnificent Kilkea Castle in Castledermot, Co. Kildare on the 4th and 5th October.  The format of the show followed last year, bringing opportunities to celebrate Irish trees and all things timber with the Celtic Chainsaw Carvers sculpting their creations during the show, woodland talks, information stands, machinery and equipment displays, mobile saw demonstrations, exhibitions, artisan crafts, food stands and family activities.  The show was facilitated by Kilkea Castle this year and supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

Kilkea Castle provided wonderful venues both indoor in the castle, baronial hall, conference centre and restaurants and outside in the stunning castle grounds, woodlands and activity centre; offering archery, air rifle shooting, fishing and escape rooms at the show.
